Job Description
The Site Manager will be responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating all on-site activities related to new construction works as well as maintenance and rehabilitation activities within the project. The role ensures that all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and the approved project schedule. The Site Manager will act as the primary point of coordination between the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Management & Supervision
- Manage and supervise daily site activities for both new construction and maintenance works.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Coordinate site activities to prevent conflicts between new construction and ongoing maintenance operations.
- Organize and control manpower, equipment, and materials on site.
- Planning & Coordination
- Support the Project Manager in implementing the approved project schedule and short-term work plans.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely execution of works.
- Ensure proper sequencing of construction and maintenance activities to minimize disruption and rework.
- Quality Control
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with approved quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure that corrective actions are implemented when required.
- Support quality documentation, including inspection requests, checklists, and site records.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Enforce HSE policies and ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Identify potential hazards related to construction and maintenance activities and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Ensure regular toolbox talks, safety inductions, and site safety inspections are conducted.
- Maintenance & Rehabilitation Works
- Supervise maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation activities, ensuring minimal impact on operational areas, where applicable.
- Assess existing structures and coordinate repair works in accordance with the approved scope and method statements.
- Ensure maintenance works meet the required performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports covering work progress, manpower, equipment, and site issues.
- Maintain accurate site records, including as-built documentation and work completion records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in construction projects, including new construction and maintenance/rehabilitation works.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site management practices.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.

- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with HSE and quality management systems.
